Getting the Most out of Every Acre- Farm Tours

This summer the Manitoba Organic Alliance will be conducting four farm tours throughout our beautiful province. These tours will be conducted on small organic farms that have improved their economic viability by adding on-farm processing capacity. These tours will aim to inspire farmers to adopt similar methods into their agricultural practices to move the agricultural industry in a more sustainable direction.

Adagio Acres

This small Manitoba farm uses natural land management techniques and organic practices to produce hulless oats and other CSA bulk and retail grains.

Tamarack Farms

Located near Erickson, Manitoba Tamarack Farms focuses on farming in an environmentally friendly way to produce packaged retail quinoa.

Stonybrook Creamer

This unique farm located in Steinbach, Manitoba produces fresh, local, organic dairy products including fluid milk and cheese curds.

DeRuyck's Top of the Hll Farm

With their production of packaged bulk and retail organic grain, dehulled and cleaned right on their farm, DeRuyck's is an excellent example of sustainable agriculture

Weed School for Organic Growers- Webinar Series

This fall, The Manitoba Organic Alliance will be conducting a series of five webinars to educate farmers on the five most common weeds found in Manitoba. These sessions will include experts on the topics who will highlight the significance of the weeds and talk about measures we can take to control them. Each webinar will cover its own species of weed to make up the series “Weed School for Organic Growers”.
